Publications for Loan

Book request form

CLRP maintains a lending library of hundreds of titles on a variety of subjects of interest to local road, highway and public works agencies. In addition to printed matter, our lending library contains materials on CD or DVD. We also maintain an extensive Video Library. If you are interested in borrowing books from our lending library, please use the book request form, and we will send your request (subject to availability). A list of the subject categories is given below and in the menu to the right.

Books for loan

Loan Policy

Publications are loaned only to local and state roads officials, public works officials, and their municipalities in New York State, for up to two weeks, at no charge. A limit of two (2) titles may be borrowed at one time. Items are shipped via US Post Office media mail. We currently cover outbound postage, return postage is the borrowers responsibility. Return shipping/address labels are included for your convenience.

Wait List Policy

If the title requested is out on loan, we will notify you and place your name on a waiting list. Requests for copyrighted publications often result in waiting lists because we are not permitted to make additional copies. Whenever possible, we purchase multiple copies of the most popular publications.

To Request a Publication for Loan

To request a publication from our lending library, call us at (607) 255-8033 or email us at clrp@cornell.edu. You can also fill out and mail or fax a completed copy of the 'request for assistance' form included in every printed copy of our newsletter. As mentioned above, we will soon be adding a complete detailed listing of all the titles currently available for loan, at which point you will be able to browse the materials here online. You can then let us know the specific materials you would like to borrow.
