View from the Road - October 2017
David Orr PE, Director, CLRP
In September's View from the Road, I asked for local innovations being tried in your community. Some of the innovations we received included:
I applaud everyone trying something new.
Some of you may think the ideas mentioned above are not new innovations but, if they are new to you, they are innovations and they are worth trying. One of the current Every Day Counts (EDC) initiatives on pavement preservation methods has been around for quite a while but, like getting kids to eat new foods, we may have to try things more than once.
Look for innovations in magazines and on the web, by talking to friends and colleagues, or from attending workshops and conferences. The New York Statewide Conference on Local Bridges, an innovative idea itself, is coming up later this month - maybe we will see you there.
