The first canon of most engineering ethics policies start with “safety, health, and welfare of the public.” That safety starts with the safety of the workers maintaining and constructing the roads and streets the public uses every day. In keeping with our philosophy of promoting and facilitating safety, we are pleased to announce that we are now accepting award applications for free Work Zone Equipment Packages.

All highway and public works departments are eligible to request a package, but priority is given to agencies that have recently lost equipment due to flood, fire, theft, or other unforeseen circumstances. The application form is attached to this email and is available on our website at https://www.clrp.cornell.edu/researchprojects/workzone.html along with more details on the equipment packages. We hope these resources will be of help to local departments because, as always, our first goal each day should be to get home safely!
