The Road Master program was established to recognize the achievement of local highway officials who complete a prescribed series of Core and Optional training sessions. The training provides knowledge of the fundamentals of road maintenance and management techniques.

A set of Core courses provides a solid base of fundamental knowledge in road technology. Optional courses allow participants to tailor the program to their needs. There are two levels of Road Master, requiring the participants to complete a series of Core and Optional training sessions. At the end of each Road Master workshop participants must complete a take-home quiz to receive credit for that course.
