Model Town Ordinances for Road Preservation and Traffic Control
These Model Ordinances were created by CLRP Consultant Jim Gelormini, esq., a Municipal Legal Consultant and a former New York State Assistant Attorney General, who recently retired after 20 years of service. They are designed to help towns deal with problems of heavy loads, controlled routes that towns might use to direct traffic to stronger sections of roadway, and related issues. A local ordinace is required in order to implement certain sections of the State Vehicle and Traffic Law dealing with these issues.
The file is in Microsoft Word format, so the ordinances can be easily edited as needed by individual municipalities. If you have any difficulty downloading or opening the file, please contact us and we will send the file to you via email or on a CD: 607-255-8033, firstname.lastname@example.org
