BMP’s (Best Management Practices): the structures, devices and practices at construction sites that prevent or control pollution of stormwater runoff. The video describes BMP’s,explains why they are present, how they function, what kinds of problems can interfere with their function, and what an employee should do if they observe a problem. Focus is on the most common BMP’s: silt fence, track pads, drain inlet protection devices, hay bales, etc. It also describes how BMP’s can fail, and the indications that a BMP is not working properly.
