View from the Road - November 2014

We recently had some very sad news. Lori Budd's husband, Dave Budd, passed away October 24th. Dave was the former Highway Superintendent in Mount Hope, but was also so much more. He was actively involved in his community both here in Ithaca as well as Mount Hope – being involved in the Special Olympics, Lions Club, the Otisville Fire Department, and the Otisville Country Fair to name just a few of his many activities. He will be missed - David Orr, PE.

CLRP workshops

In 2015, we plan to schedule about 40 workshops which will allow us to hold 20 or more requested workshops. If you don’t see a workshop topic that you would like in your area, request a workshop!

Cornell Local Roads staff to receive award

The Cornell Local Roads Program staff is being awarded the 2014 Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Core Value Staff Award! The Program would not function without their efforts. Both Lynne Irwin and I are honored to work with such dedicated individuals who make our lives easier. We would also like to thank all of you who sent in letters of support because without your backing it is possible that we wouldn’t be here today - David Orr, PE.
