February - 2020

Groundhog Day, Candlemas, Super Bowl Sunday, and even a Palindromic Day! February 2nd was a day filled with lots of holidays and celebrations. There was actually a spike in weddings on this Sunday. But many of the highway and public works departments were out dealing with a large band of snow coming off Georgian Bay and Lake Ontario. Holidays sometimes get lost by those who work in the world of snow and ice.

The rest of us need to remember that as we celebrate, there are public works and emergency personnel out there working so we can enjoy and participate in our holidays, celebrations, and special events. Remember, if you see these workers on the road, be sure to give them room and move over, after all, it's the law!
