Have CHIPS/PAVE NY allocations for FY 2020/2021 been reduced?
No, however the information posted on the NYSDOT website states that the amounts detailed for the current state fiscal year could be subject to a future reduction of up to 20 percent.
Municipalities should decide if they can spend the full CHIPS amount quickly and get reimbursed for the full amount or just plan for the possibility of only having 80 percent of the total amount available. It is important for municipalities to complete their reimbursement paperwork as soon as
possible so that you receive your payments
before any potential future reductions occur.
