Culverts are sometimes a forgotten piece of the roadway, but when properly installed and maintained are a critical component of
the infrastructure. Geoff will discuss the importance of culverts to the roadway

drainage system and provide an overview of the materials,
inspection and maintenance of these important structures.

Ditches are vital to maintaining the drainage along the highway, but if not maintained properly can shunt excess water and pollutants.
Rebecca will discuss why we should think about replumbing our ditches and provide some techniques that can be used.

Posting a highway for maximum loads can protect the road and make sure it will survive as long as possible. David will discuss when to post the road and provide details on a new tool that can be used to determine when to post due to spring thaw.
